Program Overview

ADT High School group is focused on helping divers be ready to dive and compete for their individual high schools during the high school season. Divers will work towards dive lists that would be eligible for competition in the FHSAA. Our coaches will ensure that divers are safe, confident, and prepared for all skill advancement throughout the year. Divers will learn dives from the 1M and 3M springboards as they show the necessary skill progress to do so safely.

Divers are encouraged to compete when they are able, especially at our hosted invitationals each year at either the Novice or Junior Olympic level in their age group.

Goals / Monthly Tuition

Goals

Safety through all skill progressions
Proper posture and form in fundamentals (stance, squat, swing, jump, and entries)
Basic movement literacy, balance, and coordination
Ability to isolate movements to specific body parts while maintaining posture and form
Flexibility necessary to execute tuck and pike positions, forward and backward entries
Hold a handstand for forward and back entries against a wall
Forward and backward jumps with and without a hurdle or press
Forward double and triple bouncing jumps and forward dives
Entries from the side of the pool, 1M and 3M boards
Forward dives tuck, pike, and straight from standing or hurdle
Backwards dives in tuck and straight position standing and with a jump
Reverse dives in tuck position standing and with a hurdle
Inward dives in tuck and pike with and without a back press
Twisting voluntary dive
Somersaults in all directions standing and/or with a hurdle or press
1 ½ somersaults in the forward direction in tuck and/or pike position(s)
Additional twisting optional dive

Team Registration

To join the Atlantic Diving Team, all new members are required to join USA Diving and AAU diving as well as to review & fill out all proper documents shown below. Please download our PDF registration form and fill-out the forms complete with signature.

STEP 1 - REQUIRED INSURANCE

All divers must be a registered member of both USA Diving and AAU Diving. These are secondary insurance coverages. This secondary insurance covers diving practices including both the dive well and dryland facility training. This coverage only takes effect after your primary insurance and deductibles are paid. Please read each organization’s descriptions for more information on specific coverages.

Membership (January 1 - December 31)

Please sign up for USA Diving Membership online. You may want to print this information first and then follow the directions. This allows your child/diver to practice & compete in USA Diving meets and provides additional, required, insurance for your child/diver.

FINA 18+ ATHLETES: Any athlete turning 18 in current year MUST complete a background check AND a Safe Sport Certification in order to be eligible to compete in any USA Diving event.

Membership (September 1 - August 31)

Please sign up for AAU Membership online. You may want to print this information first and then follow the directions. This allows your child/diver to practice & compete in AAU meets and provides additional, required, insurance for your child/diver. Cost for membership is $22.00 for Extended.

• Onces you are logged in

• Click continue: pay by credit card online
• You’ll receive a copy of diver’s membership online and via e-mail.

Please email us a copy of your USA Diving & AAU membership (see above). Please note that your child/diver will NOT BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE in practice or meets without an USA Diving & AAU Extended Coverage Membership.

STEP 2 - REGISTRATION FORM

Below are the forms required to dive with the Atlantic Diving Team. Please print, fill out all information on every page and bring to your next session. Click on the Download Registration Form button bellow to register with ADT.

Cancellation

Any diver choosing to leave the team will need to provide cancellation in writing via email 15 days prior to the month of cancellation. Any notice received after the 15th will be charged for the following month. All past due fees must be brought current prior to departure or the account will be sent to collections.

STEP 3 - MEET REGISTRATION

Sign up for meets under Divemeets.com (USAD & AAU): All divers must register with DiveMeets.com. Divers will submit their dive sheets to all competitions that the ADT attends and meet registration is thru DiveMeets.
