Program Description

The lessons program is a perfect place for brand new divers, of all ages, to begin the sport of diving. Lessons groups will focus on building a strong foundation for all divers interested in learning diving, progressing to our junior team, or remaining in the recreational lesson.

Divers will learn body positions, basic diving-tumbling exercises, and foundational diving skills off multiple apparatus including trampoline, dryboard, springboard, and platform. Divers will progress their skills as they demonstrate mastery and safety in all beginning skills.

Goals

• To gain a love for diving while learning integral skills to lead divers to our junior and elite teams
• Learning basic body positions for diving
• Gain flexibility and basic movement literacy

Team Registration

To join the Atlantic Diving Team, all new members are required to join USA Diving and AAU diving as well as to review & fill out all proper documents shown below. Please download our PDF registration form and fill-out the forms complete with signature.

STEP 1 - REQUIRED INSURANCE

All divers must be a registered member of both USA Diving and AAU Diving. These are secondary insurance coverages. This secondary insurance covers diving practices including both the dive well and dryland facility training. This coverage only takes effect after your primary insurance and deductibles are paid. Please read each organization’s descriptions for more information on specific coverages.

Membership (January 1 - December 31)

Please sign up for USA Diving Membership online. You may want to print this information first and then follow the directions. This allows your child/diver to practice & compete in USA Diving meets and provides additional, required, insurance for your child/diver.

FINA 18+ ATHLETES: Any athlete turning 18 in current year MUST complete a background check AND a Safe Sport Certification in order to be eligible to compete in any USA Diving event.

Membership (September 1 - August 31)

Please sign up for AAU Membership online. You may want to print this information first and then follow the directions. This allows your child/diver to practice & compete in AAU meets and provides additional, required, insurance for your child/diver. Cost for membership is $22.00 for Extended.

STEP 2 - REGISTRATION FORM

Below are the forms required to dive with the Atlantic Diving Team. Please print, fill out all information on every page and bring to your next session. Click on the Download Registration Form button bellow to register with ADT.

Cancellation

Any diver choosing to leave the team will need to provide cancellation in writing via email 15 days prior to the month of cancellation. Any notice received after the 15th will be charged for the following month. All past due fees must be brought current prior to departure or the account will be sent to collections.

STEP 3 - MEET REGISTRATION

Sign up for meets under Divelive (USAD & AAU): All divers must register with Divelive. Divers will submit their dive sheets to all competitions that the ADT attends and meet registration is thru Divelive.
